Death of a perfectionist

I am a recovering perfectionist.
I never want to waste my time, money, or resources…so I research endlessly for the best gear/tips/tutorials.
This can be helpful. But only to a point. Before long you will be advised back and forth between “experts” selling you two opposing viewpoints.
This often leads to overwhelm. And overwhelm leads to either more “research” or inaction altogether.
In my experience, the shortest path to figuring something out…is simply DOING.
Get your hands dirty. Look like a fool. Adopt the curious mindset of a beginner and make mistakes until you iron out the kinks.
Perfection is the enemy of the good. No one cares if you look silly.
A toddler learning to walk doesn’t get mad when they fall over and give up entirely. They have a laugh, pick themselves up, and try again.
So put a smile on your face, lower your expectations, and learn by DOING.
Your future self will thank you.
